Theft of a low-value item does not always justify extraordinary dismissal („child’s travel cot case”)
If an employee employed by a waste disposal company takes a low-value item (here: a child’s travel cot) that is in the garbage, this does not always justify extraordinary dismissal. The balancing of interests to be carried out in this respect is usually in favor of the employee if there is a long-term, essentially trouble-free employment relationship.
